update

dateline Spokane; so I've been reminded by another Watcher, or are you a minder Kevin, that I'm behind on posting to my blog. Well I just got the new issue of ICE - so here are the releases that have caught my eye. VDGG will have early albums reissued. I hope they have the bonus tracks that the UK versions do. I'm especially looking forward to Pawn Hearts. The live Mad Dogs & Englishmen by Joe Cocker is being expanded 10/25, for Jerry fans look to Ladder to the Stars: Garcia plays Dylan w/ 2 hours of previously unreleased recordings. CCR and John C. Fogerty fans will see The Long Road Home 11/1. Elton fans get an expanded Captain Fantastic now and Peachtree Road later. Captain has an unreleased 1975 concert of the entire album from MSG. Here's a name out of the blue. Kate Bush is releasing her first album in 12 years, 11/8. The Cream product to hit the bins 10/4. The new material is a double disc DVD from the May 2005 shows at RAH in London. An expanded version of a film that was badly done (too arty) Cream Farewell Concert RAH 11/26/1968 adds several songs. I just wish they could undo the dated arty-ness that spoiled the film. Ryko issues 10/11 Theatre Royal Drury Lane of Robert Wyatt. The show is from 1974. What should be another Love fest a live set from SF featuring the newly touring Arthur Lee. I've seen a Traffic DVD from the 1994 tour with Steve & the late Jim Capaldi. A new Sons of Champlin is ready - check around. Recent purchases include the new Jo Jo Gunne that is quite good. Nice to have Jay & Mark back recording. I got the new McCartney and listened to it driving here last night. Sounds good. It was difficult to hear clearly sitting atop a 450 hp diesel engine, but I think it's a winner.
more to come...
